Special Evening of Music Featuring Kevin Welch and the Return of The Dead Reckoners Along With Very Special Guests
NASHVILLE – (December 5, 2016) – On Tuesday, December 13, Kevin Welch and The Dead Reckoners will reunite for a very special, one-time performance for “Stand with Savannah!,” a benefit supporting actress and musician Savannah Welch. Savannah Welch, known for her acting roles in films such as Boyhood and Tree of Life and as a member of the band The Trishas, suffered severe injuries and lost her leg in a tragic accident on November 2 in Wimberley, TX. Hosted by Wally Wilson at the Skyville Live studio in Nashville, the evening will also include appearances by special guests.
Acclaimed singer/songwriter Kevin Welch, who is also Savannah’s father, is the driving force of The Dead Reckoners alongside Kieran Kane, Mike Henderson, Tammy Rogers & Harry Stinson. In addition, the group features a collection of well-respected musicians including Fats Kaplan and Glen Worf.
Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s Jeff Hanna, a fan of the band, said “I love The Dead Reckoners with their great writing, genre-blending style and deep chops. They are just dripping with cool.”
Along with the Dead Reckoners, Dustin Welch and some special surprise guests will take the stage on December 13. The show will begin at 7 PM and tickets are available at https://standwithsavannah.eventbrite.com. Contributions can also be made on the site to help the Welch family and support Savannah’s recovery.
In addition to her notable film roles, Savannah Welch is known as a member of the Texas-based band The Trishas. A former Nashville resident for over 30 years, her father Kevin has charted five singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts and released eight studio albums. He is also one of the cofounders of the Dead Reckoning Records label, which he founded with fellow musicians Kieran Kane, Tammy Rogers, Mike Henderson, and Harry Stinson.
